User provisioning prevents ghost users!

November 24, 2025

Have you ever had to deal with it: users in your application who are long gone? Or conversely, new employees who still haven't been added to your application? Onboarding and offboarding employees is a crucial part of good IT management. Ghost users lingering in your applications are not only undesirable, they also cause problems in audits and compliance checks.

At Testersuite , we understand how important it is to keep a grip on your user management. Therefore, Testersuite now includes the functionality: automatic user provisioning based on your employee database. This prevents unwanted access and saves you time managing users.

What is user provisioning?

User provisioning is the process of automatically creating, modifying or deleting user accounts based on information from a central source. Think of an HR system or an identity management tool. Take as an example the moment a new employee starts: his or her account is automatically created in all relevant systems. Does someone leave employment? Then the account is automatically deactivated.

This automation ensures that you always have an up-to-date and reliable user database. No more manual actions, no more forgotten accounts, and no surprises during an audit.

With user provisioning, Testersuite goes far beyond many applications that only support just-in-time provisioning - that is, without life cycle management. Here again, Testersuite takes another step to the next level.

Integration with identity management systems

Testersuite 's new provisioning functionality works through integrations with identity management tools such as Entrance, Omada and other systems that support the SCIM protocol.

SCIM stands for System for Cross-domain Identity Management. It is an open standard that allows user information to be exchanged automatically between systems. Suppose your organization uses Omada as its identity management system. As soon as a new employee is added there, Omada automatically sends the correct data to Testersuite via SCIM. Testersuite then creates a user account with the appropriate role and permissions. Does the employee leave employment? Then the account is automatically deleted or deactivated.

In short, SCIM ensures that your user management is secure, efficient and error-free.

SSO via SAML: available for a long time

In addition to user provisioning, Testersuite has long offered support for Single Sign-On (SSO) via SAML. This allows users to log in easily and securely with their existing company account. Without separate usernames and passwords for Testersuite. This not only increases ease of use, but also contributes to security and centralized management of access rights.

SSO via SAML and user provisioning via SCIM combine to form a powerful duo for organizations looking to professionally manage their test management environment.

What does it provide?

By using automatic user provisioning in Testersuite , you benefit from:

  • Less manual work: no more loose Excel lists or emails to create accounts.
  • More control over your test environment: only active employees have access.
  • Better compliancy: you more easily meet requirements around information security and audits.
  • Faster onboarding: new testers can start working immediately.
  • Secure and easy login: thanks to SSO via SAML.
